As the founder and director of KukiMira Art Workshop, Esin Ozdemir is a
living embodiment of a life dedicated to art and the profound impact she has left
on the souls of thousands of students. Her artistic journey, which began in Turkey,
continues to inspire a new generation of artists in America, under the umbrella of KukiMira.

Ms. Esin's interest in art was evident from her childhood. Her strong inheritance of painting and handicraft talents from her extensive family reinforced her natural aptitude in this field. Thanks to these early-discovered talents, her family ensured she received an art education at Istanbul Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, one of Turkey's most distinguished universities.

A Quarter Century Mark in Art Education
Between 1986 and 1990, Esin Ozdemir completed her 4-year master's degree at Marmara University with outstanding success. She declined assistantship offers from her university professors, driven by an overriding desire to connect with the students she loved so much. As a high school teacher, she tirelessly inspired thousands of students in painting and handicrafts for exactly 25 years in the schools where she was appointed. She guided them in discovering their artistic talents, finding their unique expressions, and developing their creativity. She retired in 2015 as a leading and highly experienced art teacher in Turkey.

A New Beginning in America: KukiMira Art Workshop is Born
After moving to America with her family, Esin Ozdemir, unable to resist the intense demand from her community and the call of her passion for art, brought KukiMira Art Workshop to life. This workshop became a unique center where she carried her quarter-century of knowledge, experience, and artistic vision from Turkey to a new geography.
At KukiMira, students embark on a wide range of artistic explorations, from the enchanting world of ceramic art to the subtlety of charcoal, the fluidity of watercolor to the depth of oil painting, and the sparkle of jewelry design to the freedom of stamp art and mixed media. Ms. Esin doesn't just impart technical knowledge; she also teaches her students the universal language of art, the boundless nature of creativity, and the potential offered by every material. Under her guidance, KukiMira is not merely a learning space but also a warm and inviting community where new artists are nurtured, inspiration is shared, and works that offer beauty to humanity come to life.
